Relationship With Media
I use media a lot in my everyday life. There are many different media platforms that I use. One that I use a lot is Snapchat. I use this one a lot because I send streaks every day. While I know that streaks do not hold any value and are sometimes viewed as worthless, I like them. Mainly because it shares a snapshot of someone’s day if they do not block out the photo like many people do. From the streaks, you can, rarely, see where someone is, what they are doing, and what their mood is.
I feel like that many of the media platforms that I am on, like Instagram and Snapchat only provide a limited view of a person’s life and thoughts. Many of the things that are actually posted on the media platforms are cropped, put through filters, and overall just distorted. This distortion makes it hard to know what is reality and what is fake. People have gotten so good at distorting the reality that I am sometimes unable to discern which post is reality and which is not.

I like music a lot because music can affect your mood, but it is different from person to person. For instance, intense and fast pace music makes some people thrilled and have a high intensity, improving their play when they are on the field. However, for me, this music makes me very nervous and anxious. Usually, I play music that has a slower tempo because it makes me calm throughout the game so that I am not panicking.
One issue that I have with music is that some songs now feel like the artist didn’t really put any emotion or thought into them. A song like that makes me feel that the artist just wanted to put out music so they could get money and didn’t really spend time on it. They didn’t write the song from a deep emotion or feeling but rather a shallow one. They just wrote it so that people could get the quick feel good vibe and they could make some money.
